Type locality: off Jolo Light, Sulu Islands, Philippines, 6 ° 11 ' 50 " N, 121 °08' 20 " E.
The two Taiwanese samples of E. radcliffei included in this analysis formed a single cluster that was slightly divergent from the Eridacnis sp. 1 sample from the Philippines (GN 2212) (Supplementary Material 1). A revision of this group is required to determine whether these two lineages reflect different species or population structuring within E. radcliffei.
