Remarks: Benthana moreirai was known only from the type locality, Itariri (24°17’21”S, 47°10’28”W), south of the state of São Paulo, southeastern Brazil (Lemos de Castro, 1985; Schmalfuss, 2003). The present record indicates that the species’ natural range extends southwards.
