# Project Description:
The data uploaded were related and used in the research entitled: The effects of 3% binahong (Anredera cordifolia) leaf extract gel on the alveolar bone healing in post-extraction tooth socket wound in Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus)
The research used 48 Wistar rats that were assigned into 12 groups after their tooth extraction. Each group had four rats. Group I-IV were given 3% binahong leaf extract gel; group V-VIII were given base gel as the negative control; and group IX-XII were given Gengigel as the positive control.
# Data Description:
There are four spreadsheets uploaded in the form of .cvs files. Each spreadsheet contain the data of residual socket volume (RSV), mean cell count of fibroblasts, osteoblasts, and osteocytes respectively.
The observation days mentioned in the data referred to the number of days after the tooth extraction. For this purpose, the day on which the tooth was extracted was counted as day 1.
## Residual socket volume
Residual socket volume was obtained from dividing the socket volume on the 3rd day, 7th day, and the 14th day respectively with the socket volume on the 1st day post-extraction.
The values of the residual socket volume were obtained from rats from group III, VII, and XI to ensure continuous measurement on the 3rd day, 7th day, and the 14th day. There are only 3 rats on each group because one rat died before the research ended.
To further clarify, the values of the residual socket volume on the 3rd day, 7th day, and 14th day were obtained from the same rats on each treatment group.
## Fibroblast mean cell count
To obtain the mean cell count of fibroblasts, fibroblasts were counted under the microscope with a magnification of 400x in 10 viewing fields. The number of fibroblasts from 10 viewing fields were averaged to obtain the mean cell count of one sample.
The mean cell count of fibroblasts was obtained from the rats from group I, V, and IX on the 3rd day; group II, VI, and X on the 7th day; and group III, VII, and XI on the 14th day
## Osteoblast mean cell count
To obtain the mean cell count of osteoblasts, osteoblasts were counted under the microscope with a magnification of 400x in 10 viewing fields. The number of osteoblasts from 10 viewing fields were averaged to obtain the mean cell count of one sample.
The mean cell count of osteoblasts was obtained from the rats from group II, VI, X on the 7th day; grouup III, VII, and XI on the 14th day; and group IV, VIII, XII on the 28th day
## Osteocyte mean cell count
To obtain the mean cell count of osteocytes, osteocytes were counted under the microscope with a magnification of 400x in 10 viewing fields. The number of osteocytes from 10 viewing fields were averaged to obtain the mean cell count of one sample.
The mean cell count of osteocytes was obtained from the rats from group II, VI, X on the 7th day; group III, VII, and XI on the 14th day; and group IV, VIII, XII on the 28th day
