This document contains geo-referenced DNA sequence data for five invertebrate species, each on a separate worksheet labeled with abbreviated taxon names, as follows:

- Cp: Cryptocercus punctulatus (Scudder 1862) (Hexapoda: Insecta: Blattodea).
- Rf: Reticulitermes flavipes (Kollar 1837) (Hexapoda: Insecta: Blattodea).
- Od: Odontotaenius disjunctus (Illiger 1800) (Hexapoda: Insecta: Coleoptera).
- Ss: Scolopocryptops sexspinosus (Say 1821) (Myriapoda: Chilopoda: Scolopendromorpha).
- Na: Narceus americanus (Beauvouis 1817) (Myriapoda: Diplopoda: Spirobolida).


Within each worksheet, the following information is provided:

- BAPS cluster: the membership of an individual in a distinct genetic cluster, inferred using individual-based spatial clustering of mitochondrial DNA sequence data, analyzed using BAPS v.6.0 (Cheng et al. 2013)
- Indiv ID: unique alpha-numeric individual identifier.
- State: two-letter abbreviation of US state from which an individual was sampled.
- Region: brief description of forest region from which an individual was sampled.
- Site ID: unique alpha-numeric geographic sampling site identifier.
- Log ID: unique alpha-numeric rotting log identifier.
- Longitude: spatial coordinate, in decimal degrees.
- Latitude: spatial coordinate, in decimal degrees.
- MtDNA sequence: Mitochondrial DNA sequence data; column header also reports gene region(s), and alignment length.
- NucDNA sequence: Nuclear DNA sequence data, with gametic phase of segregating sites computationally inferred using PHASE algorithm (Stephens et al. 2001), implemented in DNASP v.6.12.03 (Rozas et al. 2017); column header also reports gene region, and alignment length.
