Data for 'Genetic covariance between components of male reproductive success: within-pair versus extra-pair paternity in song sparrows'

This file contains the non-zero elements of the inverted A (relationship) matrix data for the animal model analysis of male liability for within-pair paternity success (WPPS) and extra-pair reproductive success (EPRS).

These data come from the long-term song sparrow field study on Mandarte Island, BC, Canada.
The data provided here are sufficient to replicate the analyses presented in the above paper, and are therefore a restricted subset of the full Mandarte dataset.

Some animal model softwares use the inverted A matrix in the form provided below (ie, a list of non-zero elements).
The first two columns index the (ordered) individuals in the pruned pedigree and hence the matrix positions of the non-zero elements.
The third column gives the element value.

The index values (first two columns) link to the "individual" number in the phenotype data file, thereby allowing the phenotypic data to be linked to invA, and allowing an animal model to be fitted.
Please see the file "male.cov.data.dryad.final.txt" for the phenotypic data.
