Phasia sola Rondani, 1861

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1861b: 215 (key), 220 (description).

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in agri parmensis collibus … in Etruria [Parmese hills … Etruria (= Tuscany) (Italy)]”.

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, syntype (MZUF: Box 18): Phasia Mgn / sola Rnd. / 957.

CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Clytiomya sola (Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 401, Pape et al. 1995: 30, Cerretti 2010: 500, O’Hara et al. 2020: 570).

REMARKS: Rondani (1861b: 220) described Phasia sola from just the female sex, without specifying either the number or the length of the specimens: “ Faem. … Semel capta in agri parmensis collibus … et iterum inventa a D.e Piccioli [Female … Collected once in Parmese hills …. and found again by Mr. Piccioli]. We found one syntype in this study.
