A seven-year-old patient, in mixed dentition stage first phase, with digital suction habit.
He presented the following alterations: anterior open bite, upper dentoalveolar protrusion, increased overjet, posterior bilateral crossbite, maxillary compression and occlusal plane rotation.
The growth pattern had a vertical trend.
Myofunctional evaluation showed lip incompetence.

Given the unfavourable nature of the case, we opted for a combined treatment that included orthodontic devices (quad-helix with lingual lattice strip cemented in the upper first molars, to prevent tooth loss in upper jaw arch.
The duration of treatment was one and a half year.
