We report the case of a 12-year-old female patient born in Spain with congenital syphilis who came to the health center due to skin lesions in the lower limbs of 36 hours of evolution.
Initially, linear pigmented non-enhanced linear plaques of linear distribution were observed from the root of both lower limbs to the twins and later adopted a pairwise tone.
At no time has itching, pain or general malaise.
With clinical suspicion of malignancy, a diagnosis of phototoxic reaction is requested.
After reinterrupting the patient, she reported having spilled an alcoholic solution with rude extract, used in her family environment to fight catarrhal symptoms, and later she was exposed to the sun in a prolonged way.
The benign condition and the need for adequate photoprotection are reported.
