A 27-year-old man suffered facial and cranioencephalic trauma caused by a traffic accident in a motorcycle.
Sepsis by the Ophthalmology Department of the Hospital Central de Policía for evaluation and treatment of right enophthalmos, the physical examination also showed incomplete paresis of the third right cranial nerve and referred diplopia.
Fourteen months after the accident, post-traumatic enophthalmos were corrected with a limestone graft placed in the right orbit and platelet-rich plasma gel was added.
In the immediate post-operative period, a better anteroposterior profile of the eyeball was observed and the patient reported significant improvement of diplopia.
It was also evident the improvement achieved in the anterior superior eyeball.
These results remained stable at 16 weeks of postoperative follow-up.
