Due to her family history of hyperparathyroidism and maxillary tumor, she was referred to the endocrinology service for evaluation.
High levels of calcium and parathyroid hormone in blood and advanced fibrocystic osteitis were found.
Parathyroid adenoma was resected, followed later by segmental right hemimandibulectomy with reconstruction using a cadaver allograft.
The tumor was an ossifying fibroma.
