A 64-year-old man presented with a vegetating lesion of the lower lip of 6 months duration.
The lesion grew slowly and paulatinely until reaching 40% of the lower lip, with measurements of 2 x 2 cm in diameter.
No regional lymphadenopathies were detected.
An incisional biopsy was performed and the patient was subsequently sent to the Pathology Anatomy, which diagnosed him as squamous cell carcinoma.

According to the TNM nomenclature, it was labeled as T2, N0, M0.
It was decided to remove the lesion under general anesthesia and reconstruction with the Karapandzic technique.
Suprahomohyoid cervical lymph node mapping was also performed.
