A seven-year-old male patient presented with a short history of nail lesions of both feet.
The lesions correspond to hypertrophy/dystrophy of nail tissue, of all nails There are no subjective symptoms of pruritus or pain.
No tinea pedis was observed.

Suspicion of onychomycosis was suspected, nail tissue was scraped and subsequently cultured, which was positive for Trichomon rubrum.
Treatment was initiated with itraconazole, 100 mg every 24 hours for three months on an alternate weekly basis, and cyclopyrox nail varnish every 24 hours daily.
At the end of the treatment, the lesions healed.
