This is a 75-year-old male patient with a history of gastric ulcer and heart disease who was admitted electively to undergo right hernioplasty for inguinal hernia repair 10 large intestine.
The patient did not report any symptoms or symptoms suggesting the presence of a Meckel's diverticulum.
Hernioplasty showed an inguinal hernia repair with large hernia sac and small intestine in its interior (adequately 50 cm).
Meckel's diverticulum with dimensions of approximately 7 cm in length and 2 cm in diameter was found when reviewing it.
We proceeded to wedge resection and the surgery was completed.
The patient was discharged 24 hours after surgery without incidents.
