A 32-year-old patient, born in Michoacán and residing in Tijuana B.C. over the past 12 years, presented with unknown etiology.
He reported a year and a half of evolution of two nodular plaques measuring 2 cm in diameter, covered with serohematic crust.
In the upper lip he had an ulcer of one cm in diameter with a base covered by a hematic crust.
Direct examination showed presence of spherules and culture was positive for C. posadasii.
He was treated with cryosurgery and amphotericin B.
