A 37-year-old male patient with constitutional symptoms and mass effect in the abdomen that in the imaging study presents a multicystic lesion with well-defined limits of 20 x 20 cm, dependent on a minor gastric curve in close contact with the hepatic lobe.
The intervention consists of a tumor resection with limited resection of the gastric wall and hepatic resection of segment III.
The study of this case corresponds to a GIST type tumor of gastric origin with superficial necrosis of the epithelium and adhesions to the liver wedge.
It presents extensive central ischemic necrosis with cystic degeneration.
The mitotic index shows a high malignant potential (22 mitoses/10 CGA).
