The fundus examination showed bilateral papilledema with minor bleeding in the lower pole of the left eye papilla.
Given the young age of this girl visual fields performed could not be considered reliable.
OCT revealed a large increase in RNFL, mean optic nerve fiber layer thickness 200 μm and 245 μm in RE and LE, respectively.
CSF, analytical and neuroimaging studies were normal.
Intracranial pressure was 45 cm H20.
BMI: 18.6 (percentile 90-95).
