On physical examination, an asymptomatic area of the occipital lobe is observed, extending to the parietal area.
A clinical diagnosis of areata alopecia was made.
A general laboratory, thyroid profile and search for sediments for celiac disease were requested to rule out other associated diseases, all results being within normal limits.
The patient began local treatment with mometaso-na droplets and minoxidil along with psychotherapy.
After two months, no satisfactory response to the indicated treatment has been observed.
