In a new episode of urinary infection, ciprofloxacin (500 mg/12 h) was started, presenting the patient at 48 hours, pain and functional impotence in both shoulders.
The examination showed a painful arch with positive counter-resistance maneuvers in both supraspinatus.
In the X-ray, no tendinous calcifications or data of interest were observed.
Ciprofloxacin treatment is discontinued and the patient is asymptomatic within 10 days.
Later he needed treatment with levofloxacin without presenting adverse reactions.
