Female, 47 years old, HIV positive since 2002, without stage C diseases, on HAART with: zidovudine, lamivudine, lopinavir/ritonavir.
She presented with a 2-day history of severe headache, so she was self-medicated with lysine-ergotamine clonixinate.
In the 24 hours prior to admission, the patient complained of pain, coldness and hypoesthesia of both hands. Physical examination revealed acral erythema of palms and back of the hands together with bilateral ulnar pulse and fingers.
