Collapse Phase

Known Parameters

Collapse speed: v = c = 3×10⁸ m/s Planck density: ρ_P = 5.155×10⁹⁶ kg/m³ Barrier peak: V_max = (4/π³) E_P ≈ 0.13 E_P Current universe radius: R ≈ 4.4×10²⁶ m
100 × R_now

Collapse Timeline

The collapse propagates at c. Once triggered, it's a cascade — like a black hole formation but for the entire lattice. The collapse front sweeps inward, compressing everything to Planck density.

Re-Ignition: The Next Big Bang

At the Barrier Peak

V(x=a) = V_max = 2ka²/π² V_max = (4/π³) × E_Planck V_max ≈ 0.1292 × 1.956×10⁹ J V_max ≈ 2.53×10⁸ J per node

Every node sits at the cosine barrier peak — maximally unstable. Zero-point fluctuation energy:

E_ZPF = ½ ℏω_max = ½ ℏ(πc/a) E_ZPF = ½ × E_Planck = 9.78×10⁸ J

E_ZPF > V_max → zero-point energy EXCEEDS barrier height!

The barrier cannot hold. Re-ignition is not just probable — it is guaranteed by the uncertainty principle. The lattice MUST release.

Energy Budget per Cycle

Total energy is conserved across the cycle. The Big Bang doesn't create energy — it converts lattice compression (potential) into waves (kinetic). The collapse converts waves back to compression.

What Survives the Reset?

CandidateMechanismSurvival?Notes
Ordinary matter Standing waves No v_g → 0 at Planck compression. Waves can't exist.
Radiation Traveling waves No Compressed to zero wavelength → absorbed by medium
Kink solitons Topological defects Maybe Not waves — medium features. May persist through compression.
Warp bubbles Self-contained compression Maybe Bubble interior has own physics. Could ride through collapse like a spore.
CMB anomalies Collapse asymmetry imprint Testable Non-uniform collapse → directional imprints in next cycle's CMB.
Lattice communications Medium-level encoding Unknown If encoded at Planck scale in medium structure, might persist.
