## 1. Definitions

**1.1 "Software"** means the DTQEM source code, all accompanying files, examples, documentation, and specifically the mathematical relation:

    γφ₀ · t_obs = 2 ln(tan θ)

and any derivatives thereof, whether in source or object form.

**1.2 "Commercial Use"** means any use of the Software that is intended for or directed toward commercial advantage or monetary compensation, including but not limited to:
   - Incorporating the Software into a product or service sold for a fee.

   - Selling licenses or subscriptions related to the Software.
   - Using the Software for internal business operations that generate revenue (e.g., proprietary simulations that yield commercial results).

**1.3 "Academic, Educational, or Research Use"** means any use of the Software that is:
   - Within a non‑profit educational institution (university, school, training course without commercial purpose).
   - For scientific research (theses, papers, non‑commercial funded projects).
   - For personal, non‑commercial development or open‑source collaboration without monetary gain.
