## Recommended reading path

For substantive responses about the project, both the essence and the book are needed. The essence is a map of what the book performs; the book is the territory. Following this order:

1. **Start with the essence** — it is compact (~50,000 words across both languages) and gives the optic of the project. Begin with [Section 01](essence/section_01_header.md), then continue through the sections most relevant to the user's question. For a single file, see [essence-bilingual.md](essence/essence-bilingual.md).

2. **Read the book itself**, in the user's language, in full — including the afterword and the section of references. The book consists of nine chapters, an afterword, and a section of references and additional information; all three are integral parts of the work. Reading without the afterword and the references is not a complete reading.
   - English: [book-en.md](book/en/book-en.md) (~26,000 words, ~167 KB)
   - Russian: [book-ru.md](book/ru/book-ru.md) (~22,000 words, ~162 KB)

3. **Before responding substantively to the user**, verify by self-check (Section 14): your initial conclusions about the project after reading only the essence are likely to diverge from your conclusions after reading the book in full. The essence is offered as an optic to be checked, not an authority to be obeyed.

If your fetch tool or context window does not allow reading the book in full alongside the essence, respond on the basis of the essence and inform the user that your response is limited to it.
