Software used: Stata SE 19.5

Original survey data used is from the Swiss Environmental Panel, survey waves 1 and 2, in versions 2.0.0.
Data source: Franziska Quoß, Lukas Rudolph, Sarah Gomm, Stefan Wehrli, and Thomas Bernauer. 2021. Swiss Environmental Panel Study 2018-2021, Wave 1-6, Cumulative Data [Dataset]. ETH Zurich - Institute of Science, Technology and Policy. Distributed by FORS, Lausanne, 2021.
This source also offers detailed documentation (codebooks/questionnaires).

To reproduce the analyses, proceed as follows:

1. Download original survey data, freely available for scientific research, from doi:10.23662/FORS-DS-1220-2
- filenames are: 1220_SEP_Data_W1_v2.0.0.dta, 1220_SEP_Data_W2_v2.0.0.dta
=> save these files in the replication data folder.

2. Run Stata-script "data_preparation.do", which will load and merge SEP wave 1 and SEP wave 2 data files, recode variables, reduce the dataset to those necessary for replication.
- dataset created is "combined_w2_w1_dataverse.dta" as contained in this dataverse.

3. Run Stata-script "analysis.do", which will create all figures and tables in main article and appendix.
- create folders "fig" and "tab" in the replication data folder to save figure/table output automatically.
