Type:— VIETNAM. Gia Lai—Kon Tum Province: Averyanov, LX-VN 2218 (holotype LE LE01057924!, isotype LE LE 01057925!).
Habitat and phenology:—Creeping epiphyte in dry lowland broad-leaved evergreen or semideciduous forests and woodlands at elevations 300–600 m a.s.l. Flowers in November and December.
Distribution:— VIETNAM, Dak Lak, Kon Tum, and Lam Dong provinces. Endemic to Central Highlands of Vietnam.
Note:—Remarkable species with yellow to light yellowish-brown, sepals with five dark red stripes, inflorescence to 37 cm long, densely arranged flowers, and ciliate lip margin.
