Dataset: Incubation_paper_data

This dataset contains experimental and simulation data associated with the manuscript "Deciphering the driving mechanisms of incubation in ultrashort pulse laser ablation"

Contents:
- surface_data/ : Raw surface profiles (text files, x [m], y [m]) describing sample topography.
- results/ : Evaluated data including global absorption, specular reflectance, and extracted crater diameters (Excel/CSV files).
- analysis_scripts/ : Lumerical script files (.lsf) used to calculate absorption and reflectance from the surface data.
- figures/ : Supporting data used for figures in the manuscript.

Notes:
- Full raw FDTD project files are not included due to large file size (>100 GB).
- For reproduction, please refer to the Supplementary Information of the manuscript.
- With the provided surface profiles, refractive index (n,k) values, and monitor definitions, the simulations can be rebuilt and evaluated in Lumerical FDTD Solutions.
