Information about consumers is accumulated from a variety of sources:
- Provided by customers themselves
- Developed by the bank as a function of providing a product or service to a customer
- Obtained from outside sources, such as credit bureaus
We collect and retain information about our customers only for specific business purposes. We may use information to:
- Protect and administer customer records, accounts, and funds
- Understand the financial needs of our customers so that we can provide quality products and superior services
- Design or improve our products and services
- Identify additional products and services which we believe customers might want to know about
- Identify and mitigate potential risks or loss to our bank
- Comply with certain laws and regulations
We maintain confidentiality of information on former customers as well as current customers.

To ensure that your personally identifiable information receives an adequate level of protection, the bank has put in place appropriate procedures with the service providers it shares your personally identifiable information with to ensure that it is treated consistent with applicable data security and privacy laws. For example, we use service providers to allow us to accept applications and deliver our financial products and services.
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies or other tracking technologies to help us analyze how users interact with our site and services, compile reports on their activity, and provide other services related to their activity and usage. The technologies used by Google may collect information such as your IP address, time of visit, whether you are a returning visitor, and any referring website. The technologies used by Google Analytics do not gather information that personally identifies you. The information generated by Google Analytics will be transmitted to and stored by Google and will be subject to Google’s privacy policies. Some internet browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” feature that signals to websites you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. We do not reveal specific information about your accounts or other personally identifiable data to third parties unless:
- You request or authorize it
- The information is provided to help complete, administer, or enforce a transaction initiated by you
- The information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency
- The disclosure otherwise is lawfully permitted or required
We do not provide account or personal information to third parties for the purpose of independent telemarketing or direct mail marketing of any products or services of those businesses.
At First Farmers, employee access to personally identifiable customer information is limited to those with a business reason to access such information. Each employee is required to follow our company’s Code of Ethics, which declares that customer information must be held in strictest confidence. Employees who violate the Code of Ethics are subject to disciplinary measures.
All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects your account information from being accessed by third parties. We maintain and grant access to customer information only in accordance with our internal security standards.
When the bank conducts business with third parties, it requires its vendors and suppliers to maintain similar standards of conduct regarding the privacy of personally identifiable customer information provided to them.

Some features included in digital banking may request access to data located on the device used to access digital banking. This may include biometric, camera, contacts, and location data. You will be prompted to allow access to this data, and if access is not allowed, the feature requiring that data will not be fully functional.
