MESA inlists and run_star_extra.f90 file used to compute the evolutionary tracks shown in the article “Oscillations of red giant stars with magnetic damping in the core. I. Dissipation of mode energy in dipole-like magnetic fields”.

To compute the evolutionary tracks, select a mass (1 or 2 Msun) and a metallicity (Z = 0.02 or 0.005) and change the inlist accordingly. We have included a separate inlist for the PMS, MS and RGB phases. Increasing the varcontrol_target parameter should speed up the computations if they take too much time.

In the file run_star_extras.f90, there is also the possibility to output RGB models with the same radii as those of Loi2020a by uncommenting the corresponding if-clauses in extras_finish_step.
