BEWARE: always make sure that you use the newest version of the file available
The current dataset version was collected between late 2018 and October 2024. It is planned to upload new versions with further consultations over time.

File formats: tables are shared as both CSV and XLSX files, the free text entries are additionally shared as a DOCX file

Column names:

	Laufende Nummer == Number of consultation, starting with 1

	Position == job and/or status position
		Categories:
			Prof./Gruppenleitung == professor or other team lead
			WiMi/Doktorand*in == Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeitende*r (scientist/researcher) or Doktorand*in (doctoral student); the "WiMi" category included Privatdozent*innen (loosely translated as private lecturers), Postdocs, Assistenzaerzt*innen (resident physicians), Oberärzt*innen (chief resident physicians) and others persons who are or could be conducting research of their own, and who are neither professors nor doctoral students, and also do not, to my knowledge, lead a group
			Referent*in == loosely translated as consultant; includes all coordinating and administrative positions
			sonstige/unbekannt == other or unknown; "other" includes students and technical staff

	Jahr der Anfrage == year of the first consulting request in format YYYY

	Anliegen == issue; short description of the request

	DMP ja=1 == DMP yes=1; consulting primarily addressed a data management plan (DMP)
		Categories:
			0 = no
			1 = yes

	Frage zu RDM/Open Data (ja=1) == question on RDM (research data management)/Open Data; questions outside of this scope were included in the list with category 0 (= not an RDM/Open Data question) if
				(a) they were related to the management of other types of digital outputs (texts, software), and could be answered by myself, or
				(b) were - at least potentially - related to RDM, but were referred to colleagues (requests for high-perfomance computing and planning of clinical studies), and no further consulting from my side took place; (b) only applies to 2 out of 198 consulting processes, and according to current criteria for what constitutes a "consulting" it would not be entered in the list anymore
		Categories:
			0 = no
			1 = yes

	Weiterer Ablauf == further process; more detailed description of what was asked and/or answered, and how the communication continues; the information here is explicity not complete, also see the disclaimer below

Disclaimers:
(i) Job position was not asked and was assessed based on mail footers and direct communication; it does not assume complete correctness, and disregards possible overlap between status groups
(ii) The dataset is anonymized; not only have some types of information been completely deleted, but also the notes have been edited to avoid re-identification; sometimes, placeholders such as X1, X2 etc. have been used to replace information as e.g. file types or repositories which could contribute to identification; in other cases, the statements were rephrased to be less specific
(iii) The requests came largely (>90%), but not in all cases, from researchers with affiliation to the Charité - Universitätsmedizin and/or the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité; to support de-identification, the affiliation was removed
(iv) Most importantly: the notes on the requests and consultations are far from complete! Sometimes they are detailed, sometimes they are very brief, rarely notes are completely absent; in many cases, I made detailed notes outside of this table.
