_setup_figure_and_axes(kind, fig=None, subplot_size=4.0, **kwargs)

Setup figure for Event plot.

Parameters:

• kind (list[str] or list[list[str]]) – A list of strings or nested list of strings, see obspy.core.event.event.Event.plot().

• subplot_size (float) – Width/height of one single subplot cell in inches.

Return type:

tuple

Returns:

A 3-tuple with a Figure, a list of Axes and a list of strings with corresponding plotting options for each axes (see obspy.core.event.event.Event.plot(), parameter kind).
