This patient, daughter of patient no. 3, was the subject of a biochemical and radiological screening study at the age of 14 years. Hypocalcaemia, hyperparathyroidism, two maxillary tumours (second and fourth quadrants) and several renal cysts were found
Right parathyroidectomy was performed to treat a parathyroid adenoma. Calcaemia remained normal for one year, but started to increase thereafter. The patient underwent further surgery (left upper and lower parathyroidectomy and excision of half of the right upper parathyroid for a left upper parathyroid adenoma). The maxillary lesions continued to grow and a few months later the two ossifying fibromas were resected.

She subsequently had another episode of hyperparathyroidism and underwent surgery to resect the adenoma of the remaining gland. There is no evidence of recurrence or the development of new maxillary tumours.
