The patient was a 40-year-old male who was involved in a car accident. CT scan on admission showed a pseudoaneurysm of the thoracic aorta at the exit of the left subclavian artery with a periaortic haematoma extending into the posterior mediastinum. The patient was admitted to the ICU in spontaneous respiration with systolic blood pressure (SBP) below 120 mmHg. Conservative treatment of the associated lesions was carried out.
Ten hours after admission to the ICU, a stent was placed in the descending thoracic aorta via the left femoral artery, with partial occlusion of the left subclavian artery. He was discharged to the ward after 48 hours. He was monitored with TACHT at 7 days, at one month and at 45 days.

Two months after the accident he presented acute pericarditis and absence of left radial pulse without clinical repercussions. The TACHT showed correct localisation of the stent.
