Cell_type_compare is a matlab script to evaluate the electronmicroscopic data about the dendritic morphology, and the number and sizes of excitatory (gneg) and inhibitory synapses (gpos), and their possible correlations. The information and data given by this script were used further in the synapses.py script. The somata.m script basically gives the same information as cell_type_compare.m but specifically for the soma.

The synapses.py script was used to incorporate the information we got from the electron microscopic data (via the matlab scripts) into the models. For this we used our simplified models with a parameter set given by the Neuroptimus software. This code replicates Figure 8. from the paper and also calculates and saves data that was later used to model the high conductance state. This script also calculates the total number of synapses for each morphology that was later used when modeling the responses to theta.
