This directory contains a collection of MATLAB codes employed here to get the results. Here, codes for the theoretical analysis, Grand canonical Monte Carlo simulations, and their respective results(.out files) are included. Inputs or parameters are included in the respective codes, and a Matlab(VERSION R2019b) run can generate the respective results.

Here, PhaseTransition.m, this code calculates the first-order phase transition behavior of a malignant cell to a normal healthy cell. Using this code, we have obtained the results shown in Figure 3.

Free_Energy.m code calculates the free energy linked with the first-order phase transition behavior. Using this code, we have obtained the results shown in the inset of Figure 3.

a_Simulation.m, b_Simulation.m calculate the FC of expression for the respective genes modulated by p53's binding and generates the result for panel A and B of Figure 4.

HCT116.m, MCF7.m, and K562.m calculate the FC of expression for the respective genes modulated by p53's binding and generates the result for panel A, B, and C of Figure 5. The algorithm or pseudo code employed for writing the simulation code is mentioned in the references below.
