References

  • Audureau (2017) described Pseudocriopsis arthuri from Peru. After examining photographs of the holotype of P. arthuri, kindly provided by Mr. Alain Audureau, we verified that P. arthuri lacks erect setae on the elytra. The species of Pseudocriopsis are characterized by having distinct erect setae inserted in the pores of the elytral punctation. Thus, in order to correct the generic classification of P. arthuri, we propose to transfer it to Leptostylus LeConte, 1852, as Leptostylus arthuri (Audureau, 2017) comb. nov.
